      Becoming more lucid/staying lucid

When I was younger (about 7), I would have random lucid dreams. I didn't know how to purposely induce them, but I'd have them, and they would be pretty fun. I got to fly, be spiderman, etc. I've recently become interested in lucid dreaming, and tried many methods. None have worked for me yet, but I've come closest with DILD. I'll be dreaming, something will make me become lucid, and I'll say to myself, "Hey, I'm dreaming..." but then I lose lucidity pretty quickly. For example, last night I realized I was dreaming, but it was slipping away pretty quickly. I tried spinning and rubbing my hands together, but I still slipped back into a normal dream. I've been working on my dream recall (normally 1-2 per night), and been keeping a simple dream journal. How can I improve my 'DILDing' and stay lucid once I become lucid?

Well, I'm fairly new to this aswell. But i hear that looking at your hands, or sniffing your surroundings can make a dream more stable.
You reveal that a reveal check reveals nothing.

Using your senses, focusing on a object\person, dream spin, rubbing hands, and the one i use verbal commands such as "more clarity" "increase lucidity" or whatever works for you.
