      Post Intro

      Quick intro here,
To be honest I'm not too social a person. So I don't know how much I'll post here. I thought talking about it more would help move my dreaming along.

I've been trying to have more lucid dreams for a long time, but haven't had a more serious commitment to it until recently. My dream recall is way up, and in the last week I've tapped very closely to a lucid dream. Becoming lucid once for all of three seconds and a sort of pseudo-lucid dream. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but its where a part of me knows this is a dream, but I can't act on it, and the realization really doesn't hit home. I've had three or four in the past. And there are something I desperately want to do, that I can only do in these dreams.

I'm at a bit of a disadvantage because I work graveyard shift and if you don't know what that means, it means my sleeping schedule is screwed up bad. BAD. Its hard to sleep normally even with regular bed time. You sleep too much, too little (usual), constant interrupted sleep, stomach problems, energy problems ect. ect.

Currently, I've been typing out common signs of dreaming I have before I go to bed. Review it once or twice then try to sleep.

      Welcome to the forum WhiteKnight.
It sounds like you've been making a good start by writing out your dream signs.
If you have any questions, everyone here will be happy to help.

      WhiteKnight, I'm glad you joined!

Whether you post a little or a lot, hopefully just reading what others have written will get you where you want to be with your lucid dreaming.

If you know you are dreaming, it is a lucid dream, but you may not necessarily have control over the dream. Lucidity and control are not dependent on each other. You can be lucid and have no control. And you can have control and not be lucid. Of course the aim of this site is to achieve lucidity WITH control

You may be able to take advantage of your interrupted sleeping pattern by trying techniques such as WBTB or WILD.

That's a great idea. Pairing reality checks with common dreamsigns is quite helpful in inducing lucidity as well.

Enjoy your stay. See you around the forum
