      Unhappy lucid help

a while back i posted i had a lucid dream, i've had several normal dreams since then and only relised i was a dream after i woke up
this has been a little frustrating that i didnt relise it was a dream in the dream, especially the fact some dreams where at place's i had no reason to be at (my old school i was at 2 years ago)

is there any way to try and force your self to subconsciously remember your in a dream when you are asleep

      please help

      WELCOME xristosx to "Dreamviews".

By reading some of the Tutorials on this site you may get the impression that it is a natural thing to have a LD. For some people it is and we simply become lucid (it took me 49 years to have my first LD, I did not know it was possible before that) but for most people it requires learning the skills necessary, having patience and practising.
Having a LD is a fantastic and unbelievable experience and well worth any effort to achieve. That is the first step and then you have to learn how to control it.
Start by keeping an extensive dream journal and develop a habit of doing reality checks throughout the day. This habit, once developed, should happen during a dream as well and when it does, you will become lucid and probably wake yourself up in the excitement.
Dont try to become lucid, let it come to you. Patience and persistance are essential, frustration and impatience are inhibitors.

There are many people in the same boat as yourself and have succeeded.

      Good luck and best wishes.

      Hi there.

In addition to the above wonderful advise, might I suggest a simple and severely underestimated technique. Simply, just as you feel yourself drifting off to sleep, Repeat aloud or in your mind that you WILL realize you're dreaming or that you WILL become lucid in dream. It's a simple thing and will work if you practice it regularly and reallly mean it.

      Welcome and see you around.
