      Beginner lucid dreamer

Hi I'm pretty new at this message board thing, and lucid dreaming. I'm 28 and I've been attempting lucid dreaming for a couple years now. At this point I'm merely able to redo scenes or scenarios from a dream that didn't go the way I wanted them to...kind of like the rewind feature found on VCRs, tape players, etc. I'd like to be able to choose what I dream about and the actions and interactions within the dreams too.

The reason for loging onto this msg board is to find out more about lucid dreaming. My fiancee is a bit of an expert lucid dreamer and hasn't really been able to teach me new stuff, guess not everyone is meant to be a teacher.

Recently I've tried focusing on a given topic before bed and tried unsuccessfully to dream about it.

      Later,

      Sassy [/i]

      Well lets see.

I found out about lucid dreaming around March last year when my chemistry teacher read us an article about the nova dreamer. I was intrigued so I searched online for it and read everything I could find. I tried hard to have one and finally managed around this time last year.

As for the dream journal, definitely. A dedicated dream journal is essential to a good dream recall which in turn is the foundation for having lucid dreams.

I wished I'd read that post before bed as it may have helped. Instead I was trying to just think of LD and a topic before falling asleep. I had a very vivid dream, as is the norm for me, but alas very little to no lucidity for me. I'll try your suggestion tonight and prior to that I will partake in a few tutorials.

Have a good day! I'm off to my day job, oh how I'll miss my vacation.

      Welcome to DV Sassinator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you do have pretty good dream control, which is a darn good start in my opinion. As for achieving lucidity, it will take time. You've started to read all this LD stuff, so just give it some time to absorb.

Good luck on it though, and so glad to have you here!
