      Just had my first LD

Well, at least my first one that I can remember.

I've been recording a dream journal for about a week, and decided to try a WILD last night. Suffice it to say that the WILD didn't work, just left me frustrated and I eventually fell back asleep.

During my dream however I began to float. For once I found this kind of strange (which made me realize that I might not find it strange at times), and asked myself, am I dreaming? Did a quick nose reality check, realized I was dreaming, and then became lucid.

The dream itself didn't last that long, 5 minutes maybe? I really just flew around before I lost control and woke up, but man it was amazing, the dream was so vivid.

Anyway, rather excited right now, just got finished writing the whole thing down, felt I should share my excitment with someone, who better than people who know the excitement!

Congratulations on the lucid and welcome to the forum too!

Sounds good to me, flying for a first lucid is quite an accomplishment. Well done.

The WILD is quite hard for people, I wouldn't recommend it. Try a WBTB with a MILD.

Also well done with the dream journal, you will need it.

Congratulations! There's nothing quite like that lucid dreamscape, and once you've been, well, I never wanted to really come back. I'm still hoping that THIS is the dream and that I'll wake up there soon!

      CONGRADULATIONS
Now you know what all the hype is about and cant wait to do it again.

How would you describe the sensation of having a LD to somebody that has not experienced it?

Keep up working on the basic skills and good luck.
