      Hey All

Hi my name is Alex and i come from Idaho and im 18 years old, ive been looking into lucid dreams since i can remember and hope to find out some useful information from here and share my experiences.
ive always looked at lucid dreams as a way of escape from reality, and or be able to do things i wouldnt be able to do in reality, like fly jet planes/space ships, fantasy/magic, drive tanks/mechs.

Anyways ive looked into techniques and guides to lucid dreaming and never really got to far in knowing when im dreaming and what to do when im aware of this. One thing ive noticed is when i have nightmares and they get to scary for me to handle i realize that, im only dreaming and i either wake myself up or till just recently have been able to change whats going on. I think this is do to having repetitive nightmares when i was a kid.

well hope to talk to you guys some more, and learn another universe in dreaming.

Hi and welcome to Dream Views.

Lucid dreaming is excellent for wish fulfillment. It's also great for facing down your fears and ridding yourself of those nightmares that plague you... that is if you want to be rid of them.

Best to start with a dream journal to pump up your dream recall. It's good to have an actual book and pencil beside so you can jot down dreams as you wake and recall them.
Or, you can start a dream journal here and add to the ever growing collection of awesome insanity that are Dream Views member dreams.

In the tutorials section of the site are a variety of ways to help you to achieve lucidity in dreams. Peruse them and find something that feels right for you then practice practice practice.
