      Hi :)

Hi everyone, I stumbled upon this forum just today and quite glad to find it because around about 15 years ago I found out I was able to apply some degree of control in my dreams after experiencing a recurring nightmare which I was able to recognise and actually stop it. I have asked a few people that I know about the subject of controlling dreams and they looked at me as if I was crazy so kept quiet about it afterwards, so I am glad I am not crazy after all.

The only thing is I have lost some of the ability which I think is most probably due to the fact that I forget my dreams more often than not.

Anyway I hope to be able to pick it back up again.

Welcome to the forum. Most people had lucids at a young age to escape from nightmares and sadly lose that ability as they grow up.

If the lack of dream recall is the reason to your loss of lucid dreaming, then maybe you should start a dream journal. This will be your most valuable tool. All you have to do is right down anything you can remember from your dreams.

      to Dreamviews!
As NeAvO suggested, a dream journal is one of the most effective ways to help you remember your dreams. You can keep a dream journal online here at Dreamviews, or write it down at home. We also have more information about remembering dreams (referred to as Dream Recall around here) in the Dream Recall Tutorial and the Dream Signs/Recall subforum.
