Hey all, I posted on here about a month ago after I had my first lucid dream, which was a DILD that lasted about 10 seconds or so, mostly me flying and feeling an incredible sense of exhileration. After that first one I thought I'd be able to do it again fairly soon, but I ended up with only a couple close calls.

In one I did a reality check (finger through the hand) and convinced myself it was normal, even though my finger was actually slightly pushing out the palm. In another I realized I was dreaming but was awake right as the realization hit me.

Anyway, last week I was out of town for the holiday and had a strange dream where I was in a museum (I used to have a lot of museum dreams as a kid), but the museum was based on Monty Python songs. With no reality check or anything, it clicked that I was dreaming. After my first LD where I took off flying and got so excited that I woke myself up, I'd decided to try to stay calm and just explore the dream...so I remembered that I should try to find something to pick up and use my senses. I went down to the floor but there was nothing to pick up, so I just spread my arms out on the floor feeling it. Then I rubbed my hands together and screamed "increase lucidity!"

I ended up being so focused on increasing my lucidity that I eventually just fell back into the dream. The whole thing lasted probably close to a minute. Looking back, it almost feels like I was merely "dreaming that I was lucid dreaming" since my logic was still stuck in dream mode. It's strange because the initial part where I went to the floor is vivid, but everything fades quickly even though I remember doing those other things to maintain and increase my lucidity.

Oh well, it was still cool. It really is a rush to have that click where suddenly you realize what's going on.
