      In JUST ONE DAY!

      Hey everyone!!!

Yesterday night I was doing my math homework when I stumbled upon this site.

Read it in and out, the main pages atleast, and quite a few tutorials, and got the basic idea for WILD, DILD and MILD.

Today, I heard this sound on youtube that apparently induces astral projections and lucid dreams.

      Here is that link:
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE_w48-hIoU

And it was noon here. I got all that colorful imagery when I heard it, and I THINK I lD'd. Can you PLEASE tell me if it was one?

I was in a bedroom where my sister was sleeping on a mattress below, and another couple I didn't see clearly was sleeping on the bed.

I dreamt of that, and I kept getting excited each time thinking I was lucid dreaming. The sounds from the outer world kept coming in. I kept trying to relax myself and say I am dreaming, i am dreaming...

Then I suddenly was in total darkness. I tried opening my dream eyes. There were french vineyards all around me.

Now, I don't know what it was at this point in time. I mean, I'm so terribly confused. It was almost as though I was awake, and aware, but it was still dreamy. Maybe I wasn't totally lucid.

Then I found myself in my school corridor, and I imagined up my EX, and I walked past her. Then I said in my dream....

"and it hurts...but It doesnt matter now, in this dream I can do whatever I can"

and I actually jogged backwards in the corridor and started walking ahead of my ex, but backwards. And i STABBED her with a knife. For god knows what reason.

I WANTED to do that in the dream. On retrospect when I'm woken up, I didn't want to do it any more.

I'm really confused as to if I really got an LD or not.

I got SO excited when I could do that, ( I think I also partially tried healing my ex), I woke up excitedly that I LDed!!!

      Mannnnnn....what a rush..

I really don't know if what I've felt is an LD. Please help.

Thank you! All in one day!! I'm amazingly excited. Also, I listened to that audio on youtube for 10 minutes, in which I LDed a bit, and then after it stopped, I was thrust out of it, and entered it soon enough again. I woke up 10 minutes after that.

      EXHILIRATING!.

      ----------------------
      Edit:

      I have some questions, please:
--Is it normal to see yourself in the LD, almost like a GTA game, and not actually be IN your body?
--If I tell myself that I CAN DO ANYTHING, and then I really can in the dream, is it an LD, or is it just imagination?
--I guess what I'm saying is that I can't always make out when it is an LD and when I'm just imagining it is an LD.
-- Is it possible to get an LD in just 10 minutes of a nap?

      HELP!!

I'm not sure if it's normal but it happens alot from what I've read in dream journals and it has happened in my own dreams.

--If I tell myself that I CAN DO ANYTHING, and then I really can in the dream, is it an LD, or is it just imagination?
In non lucid dreams it's possible to tell yourself you can do anything and do it.
Same for lucid dreams. The difference is in a lucid dream you KNOW you're dreaming.
You can have awesome dream control without lucidity and vice versa.

--I guess what I'm saying is that I can't always make out when it is an LD and when I'm just imagining it is an LD.
What do you mean by imagining it's a LD? Are you talking about daydreaming or sleep dreaming?

-- Is it possible to get an LD in just 10 minutes of a nap?
It's totally possible to get a LD in less than 10 minutes of sleep. Great thing about LDs is that time doesn't play by real world rules so you could be asleep for 5 minutes and have a LD that felt like it lasted for hours.

I always see myself in 3rd person, whether I'm LDing or just normal dreaming. The exception is conversations...when other people are speaking I'm looking at them through my eyes, but even then when I speak the view moves around to face me, as if I'm looking over the other person's shoulder. And intense conversational points can have all sorts of angles, like from above the table to catch both of us, or elsewise. When I dream its much like a movie...all sorts of views. Maybe that's not average, but its normal for me. I even have tons of dreams that I don't even participate in, I just watch a movie cast by some Dream Characters. ^_^

Hello drs17 and Welcome to Dreamviews.

To answer your question on whether you had a LD you have to ask yourself a question.
The definition of a lucid dream is that you were consious of the fact that you were dreaming whilst still asleep. Its like, "holly crap, I'm having a dream."
There are two distinct sections, the first is a dream, the second is you are fully consious that you are dreaming.
Were you mentally aware during the dream, that you were dreaming?

You would not have got any sleep if you read a fractional percentage of the posts and threads on this site.

      Welcome again and best wishes.

      Hey guys,
thank you so much for the warm welcome.

I feel at home now ~smiles~

Yes, it's true that I was extremely excited upon reading everything here, and that is what probably propelled the idea of LD into my subconscious without much effort.

And yes, I did lucid dream according to the definition. It was just a little hazy at the boundary between awakening and dreaming, so I was confused.

      Thank you guys!

I look forward to my stay!

      let me get this right.

you listened to this audio on youtube for 10 minutes, then you fell asleep and had an LD?

Did you fall asleep while listening to the audio?

      Please elaborate

Neat man, good job... I believe what you had may have been a mild level LD if you could somewhat conrol it. Let me put it this way though... when you have an intense LD... I promise, you will know it.

      Thank you Grod

Well yeah I think it was a mild thing...I really am terribly stressed out from work at the moment, and have no time to better my dream recall or even practice LDing.. so I'll take a break, but I'll get back to it as soon as I can.

      Hey Reality:
U didnt completely fall asleep while listening to the tape..it claims to induce LDs but I'm skeptical about it. What I think it does, though, or did to me atleast, was that it comepletely relaxed me and almost put me off to sleep. After it ended, I slowly DID fall off to sleep. Although it was shallow sleep.

I woke up after 15 minutes, and so I think I must've LDed for about 5-10 minutes in it.
