      Hello everyone!

Hi, I just want to introduce myself. My name is Holly and I am 16 *whoot whoot* The subject of dreaming and lucid dreaming interests me so much. I wish I could try, but since I was born blind my dreams aren't really dreams at all, and I tried to become lucid in the "dream" or whatever, but I failed miserably. =( But, I am still interested, and my older sister is a pyschologist type of person who helps people with their nightmares by teaching them to lucid dream. Yay! So, hello. ^_^
I am still hoping I will have a dream one of these nights, but I know that isn't possible.

      Welcome to the forum!

I've never heard about what dreams are like from someone who was born blind. I'm going to assume that they're dream-like sounds and feelings, am I correct? I'd think they'd be what you normally experience in life.

Assuming that I'm correct, you may want to reality check based on sounds - like hearing a bird sing or a electrical device beep.

Good luck with your attempts at lucidity, and feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Okay, i'm just going to answer all of the questions on one post.

If you don't mind me asking how are you posting on a forum if you were born blind?
This nifty text to speech thing and my older sister. Yay.

Also can you explain what your dreams are like?
Well, it is just basically like voices, but I know that they aren't real, so I can't really understand why becoming lucid isn't easy. And, alos, it is like I know the feelings of other "people" or whoever they are in the dream. I can't really explain it, but I just know who they are, and they aern't people that I know in real life. I don't think so, at least.

Assuming that I'm correct, you may want to reality check based on sounds - like hearing a bird sing or a electrical device beep.
Hmm... good idea! I will set my alarm so I wake up after a an REM cycle... I could try WBTB or something.

So yeah, thanks everyone! I wish you all good luck with your dreams. ^_^
I am still hoping I will have a dream one of these nights, but I know that isn't possible.
