I'd say that by my third LD they were lasting longer than 10 minutes.

Maybe by my fifth LD I could exert control over dream characters, etc.

My first one was probably over ten minutes, and I had some control. I shrank a chair a little bit, I changed my grandmas pool into different shapes, and I think I changed it from day to night then back to day, but that could have been a different one.

Don't worry you probably were just exited for your first time, keep trying.

My first one was long as hell, but after that they were only a few seconds. Just experience holding onto your dreams. After about twenty I started to have more stable dreams and now I can stay in them for a really long time if I choose.

also, those really long dreams you read in the journals, are probably all WILDs.

Mine are still fairly short but I can get a few a night, I tend to drift in and out of dream scenes. The longest for me (going on how long I thought it was while inside the dream) was I suppose about 10 minutes.

I'm not even sure if my lucid dreams exceed ten minutes. Some seem very long but in reality were very short.

I had one that felt as if it lasted maybe half an hour.
The DJ announced that a certain piece of mucic, I loved, would play after the commerical break. I crashed out during the commercial and 'woke up' lucid in my bedroom.

All through this dream I could hear the music. I woke up as soon as the music stopped. The announcer named the music and it's composer. I'd lucid dreamed all through that bit of music.

I checked online how long the piece was and it was only about 3+ minutes. So the dream was only about 3 minutes long thought it felt like half an hour.

I guess, after all that babbling what I meant to say is... I don't know how long my lucid dreams really are. I'm betting they all are rather short, probably 5 minutes or less.

my first lucid dream was about 10 min long. Well now that i think of it, almost all my lucid dreams feel about 10-15 min long on average. Ive had some shorter ones, and some longer ones. But on average, they're 10 min long.
