      Could need some help here..

      Greets

I'm kind of new in this dreaming world.. i have only haved a couple of lucid dreams in my life and im just beginning to explore this world (im working on dream recalling at the moment) Anyway i read a thread where the webmaster mentioned this "sleep paralysis". My problem is about this paralysis :

Some nights when i go to bed i often watch TV,and just before my eyes shut, i kind of sense a strange feeling trough my body and very much so inside my head, and BOOM. The next second I can't move anymore, im still awake in my head but my body is asleep. The only thing i control is my breathing which gets harder to control as time goes. It last's only for some seconds (maybe 10, 15) and then i wake up. Feels like im going to choke and eventually die beacouse of the breating witch gets me very worried and kind of scared to go back into sleep. And once it happens it usually continues for some times that night before i can go to sleep for real. If anybody know more aboout this and maybe some tips of how to avoid this i whould be very greatfull and whould save me some hours to sleep and maybe in time have some LD's.

      Thx

Don't be afaird of going to sleep paralysis. It might feel like your not breathing but you are. And you always enter sleep paralysis even when your asleep. There are just ways of achevieing it without falling asleep. I believe SP is a lucid dreamers best friend.

I have not seen anyone actaully stop breathing during SP...so I can't really say that your not breathing. But just go with the flow and when you start to feel like your more in your head then try thinking about dreaming.

Slayer is right, Next time you get to sleep paralysis, just go with the flow, when you enter sleep paralysis you are very close to dreaming and you could enter a lucid dream in a few minutes. You are in fact lucky, many people try to get to sleep paralysis during a wild (Myself included) and fail after 45 minutes.

Also, don't be afraid, it all happens around 6 times a night, and your still here aren't you Don't worry about your breathing, I think the fact that it feels like you can't breath is that you normally control your breathing unconsciously when you sleep, so don't worry.

Good luck, maybe your sleep paralysis will get a lucid dream soon

Oh, I didn't know this was your first post, so go to the tuturial section if you need any help, or feel free to ask us.

That same thing used to happen to me quite often!

But now a days its getting less common. Sleep paralysis can definately be qutie scary, but is a really cool experience when you realize it cant hurt you.

      Good Luck LDing,
      Forgotten~
