      Dream Recall and Lucidity question

Is anyone able to recall their dreams every night while also smoking/drinking/whatever everyday?

The same question for achieving ludicity.

Is it easier to achieve lucidity if you stay sober?

I already welcomed you personally, but I guess I shall do it again:

      Welcome to the forum ThomasELEN!!!!

It really depends on the person, but generally alcohol disturbes the normal sleeping cycles, so it is probably going to be harder to recall dreams or become lucid. In my case, when I drink(like yesterday...still hung over ) I don't remember any of my previous dreams. You might want to do a little searching as well, as I am sure we have plenty of threads about this....

Welcome, hope you like it here

I heard that smoking can cause snoring and snoring prevents dreaming, so you might want to be careful about that

      Hello and welcome ThomasELEN!

I never recall my dreams after having more than a few drinks, although just one or two seems to make my dreams stranger (try drinking port and eating stilton cheese just before turning in - seriously bizarre dreaming!).

I find I fly more in dreams if I have had a couple of drinks - don't know why......

      Welcome to Dream Views ThomasELEN!!!!

I would just like to ask... what are you smoking? I am a regular smoker (camel lights mind you) and I have no problem dreaming. Now if you are smoking other herbs then well it may or may not have an affect on your dreams. Some says that it makes them better. I don't have much experience there.

I have to agree with the others about alcohol... I often don't remember any dreams after i have had a few to many drinks.

      Anyway... Sweet Dreams
