      Hello everyone.

Hello everyone. My name's Jeremy and I recently just discovered the amazing world of Lucid Dreams. I was looking at a wikipedia article about dreams and stumbled on the article on lucid dreams. I read it and then did a google search and this site came up I haven't had any LD's yet but I am willing to practice in order to achieve them.

And a quick question: I don't have very good dream recall, most nights I don't even remember any dream's I've had, I usually have a dream I remember maybe every 2 weeks. Would this severly hinder my ability to have a lucid dream? Thanks.

Hey Jeremy. I'm sure there are ways of improving your dream recall, just look around the many many many well-researched help threads about the forum.

...I sounded like I knew what lucid dreaming was then. My bad.

      Hey, welcome to the forum!

The best way to improve recall is to keep a dream journal. Every morning when you wake up, write down anything you can remember from your dreams, even if it's just a feeling.

      Good luck!

Hi and welcome to Dream Views.
Dream recall can hinder the ability to recall a lucid dream.

Practicing recall helps a lot though since you start to get in touch with that section of the mind that deals out the dreams. I think the more actively you practice recall the more apt you are to induce a lucid dream.
