      50/50 LD? / Hello!

Hello all of you! I'm new here (just registerd) and it shall be exciting to read, discuss and write everything about this Lucid dreaming

I had never heard of this Lucid dreaming untill one of my classmates told me about it for around ½ year ago. I thought he was out of his mind and I didn't belive him but the day after one guy in my MSN list also talked about it to me for the first time(I've known him for about 2 years). So we discussed about it and I was suddenly longing to go to bed

I somewhat recongnized some things he(the MSN guy, let's call him X ) talked about and X said that some people have easier for this than others.
Anyways, last night I had a dream and I remeberd EVERYTHING, from the beggining 'till I woke up. But I did'nt have full controll and wasn't aware that it was a dream untill I woke up, but everything felt like it was real.
I was working with Bungie(game developers for the Halo series as many know of) at their studio, not the real one which is a big warehouse, it was in the middle of the desert with one house at the horizon and a metropolis looking place to the right of that house. The house and walls were made of nothing but glass and it wasn't very big so people where everywhere.
I sat at a table which was like a big diningtable and was drawing an ant for their next game. (I remeber how it turned out, the ant) As I began to draw Joseph Staten, one who works as a cinematic director, sat next to me and gave me ideas and I questioned him and we small-chatted.

That's just a small part of it. When I woke up I was like "Aw man it was only a dream, darn it.."

I have some questions, how do you train to get full controll of a dream? Like "I want to fly" and then you do. I've had one dream where I woke up and walked out of my room, but everything was black. No stars, no light no nothing. I started to walk into the seemingly neverending darkness and I thought "wait a minitue I'm dreaming?!" and then I woke up.. I want to keep that controll!

      Thanks and hello again!

Hey, welcome to the forum, bud! You'll enjoy this place!

Lucid dreaming is simply being aware that you are dreaming. So technically, you had an LD when you realized it was a dream. You don't have to do something special (but it's fun as hell, though! )

It seems that you have a good dream recall. That's excellent! A good dream recall is one of the important factors in lucid dreaming. I recommend keeping a dream journal. The forum is in Additional Resources.

Gah, false awakenings... I hate them too!

      Anyways, welcome!

Oh and maybe I should mention you which I forgot. I was in controll of my actions in that dream and did not go on "auto-pilot" or whatever But I wasn't aware that it was a dream.
And I was offerd to work for them for four years and my head was going "Oh snap! I'm really going to do this! I'm gonna move from home and family and freinds and make a living over here and get my own place and everything!"
When I slowly woke up I still thought that it was really going to happend.
