      Eager to WILD, having trouble...

      Hey Hey.
I just signed up to the forums although I've been reading posts here for awhile, especially the tutorials. I've been trying to achieve lucidity with the WILD techniques but I have yet to be successful. I always feel as if I am getting so close but then nothing really helps.
I've read many descriptions as to what exactly the last stages of WILD should entail and I feel as if I have experienced them myself but then I find myself just lying in my bed and eventually just giving up and opening my eyes. (I do try for quite awhile though, I don't give up quickly)
I've been at it for a few weeks now and I thought I'd see if anyone had any tips for me.

      Welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately the WILD is hard to do, unless you want to keep at it, I'd suggest attempting the MILD with WBTB.

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss it you will land among the stars.

      Hi and welcome.

When are you attempting to WILD? If you're doing it right as you go to bed for your regular night's sleep it probably won't work. It's difficult to WILD at that point unless you're very exhausted.

It's better to try WILD if you wake up at some point during the early morning. Try your WILD technique then because there's more of a chance you'll fall back into a REM period, which is when your mind is ripe and ready to lucid dream.

Or I find it's easy to WILD if I'm very tired and take a quick nap. I think the key component to doing this during a nape is to be good and tired before you do try.

Yeah sorry, I guess I should of mentioned that I've tried doing it with the WBTB method as well. I've tried a few methods actually. I intend to keep it at it, but I was mostly just wondering if there was some trick that anyone else who had trouble attempting it might have learned.
