      Visualization?

Hello, I am new to these forums. I have read a few of the tutorials and have decided to get my dream recall up, currently 0 for the past few years, but have remembered some dreams in the last few days. I am going to wait for the school year to cool down before trying some things like WILD more often, I tried it once until SP (no HI though) and it was a very unique experience .

There is something else I would like to work on also, visualization, which I would imagine would be helpful in dreams and in general. Is it actually seeing images when your eyes are closed (like HI I suppose), or is it just "seeing" the image in your mind? Is seeing images "on" your eyelids while your eyes are closed possible?

Edit: Did a search and read that visualization is not actually seeing an image. I would still like to know if it is possible to actually see images at will.

      Welcome to Dreamviews.

You're probably referring to a VILD, where you visualize a dream where you're lucid. This would be visualizing it in your mind. Sometimes, HI (which happens during SP) can be controlled. HI usually appears to be real, if its not just colors. Some people can control the HI, is that what you're asking?

I was wondering if something like HI could be controlled outside of the process of falling asleep, someone might know, even if it is kinda off topic from lucid dreaming.

I think the question was a little different then given answers. I know what you are talking about. You are probably thinking, that superb visualisations skills are needed to have vivid lucid dreams. They arent. I was always at the situation thinking that without visualisation training, there will be no decent lucid dream. Until it came.

I would like to learn visualisation too. Try searching forum topics for more information. I myself wasnt successfull. Everybody seems to use visualisation skills here, but only few give tips for building and improving this skills.

Maybe this would be a question for members of educational team here, who are pretty skilled.

Actually. Is there someone, who improved his visualisation overtime while performing lucid dreaming attempts? Let us {poor visualisers} know.
