      Exclamation Before...

I could remember all of my dreams from before just now and one stands out in my mind. I remember that i was swimming in my neighbours pool and i couldn't get out so i tried breathing in and i could breathe! HOORAY! Could this be a sign for me??? i just want to know before i go to sleep so i can try to have my first (in a while) lucid.

      Hey Jo,

This is a definite sign that things are improving, since this one stands out most to you i think it just shows that you are making improvements in terms of lucid dreaming and you are aware of it. You obviously have lucid dreaming on the brain so that is a good thing and it will take you a long way if you keep it on your mind, some advice though, don't try to force it on yourself, let it come naturally and take things nice and slowly. Though the hype for a lucid dream is building since this advancement you do have to realize that too much excitement can prevent lucid dreams. So just take it easy, maybe try doing some reality checks as they may help you get better at recognising the dream world and proving to yourself that you are actually in the dream state. If you do practice some reality checks, do remember to take them slowly and do them with 100% effort as if you were actually within the dream.

I wish you all the luck in the world to achieving a lucid dream! And keep recording your dreams as it will help you get much further, write them down!

Hello there. Welcome to Dream Views.

Another thing that helps a lot when trying to lucid dream, or trying to do anything for that matter, is to stay positive. Try to find ways to see negatives in a positive light. Find that silver lining and stick to it.

That being said, perhaps change your sig to something like:

      LDs: 0
      recall: improving
I'm going to get better at this...

Vex is completely right, you have to be positive, don't do what i did, i got really annoyed when i hadn't had a lucid dream and i had the whole "i can't do this" attitude. Just take it slowly, step by step and remain as positive as you can, if you don't have a lucid dream, it doesn't matter, think of the good things, at least you remembered some dreams, this shows that your recall is improving.

Keep us updated on how things go though!
