      Some problem I always have..

Idk there's this problem that if I think about lucid dreaming before I go to bed I never get a lucid dream..the only ones I have is when i haven't thought about it for a couple of days and then boom one happens without me trying. Anybody else have this problem?

A lot of times if you try too hard you don't have one and then when you forget about it you have one. It's a common phenomena. Don't worry.

Nothing in life can be said to be unfair - everything is the result of freedom and where would freedom be without the feedom to take the consequences?

Yes, don't worry about it, this happens to nearly everyone when they first start out.

You need to be carefull not to try too hard before you are asleep. The more important bit is remembering what to do when you are dreaming.

I wouldn't worry about it too much to be honest. Thinking about it a lot can help too - having it on your mind when you are awake, often transfers into your dreams.

When you think about lucid dreaming it can often trigger an expectation of a lucid dream, the desire for a lucid dream comes into the mind and you in a way hope for one to occur. But this added excitedness can lead to a cancellation since it you are too excited to actually have a stable awareness within a dream. Though it may seem hard to not think about it, just try to tell yourself of some of the cool things that could happen in your dreams tonight and let your mind slowly drift away. I had the exact same problem as you have, but that is what i did to get rid of it, it may work for you, but its worth a try. Try your best not to expect things since it will most likely get you excited which isn't always good for lucid dreams.
