      Hey, to DV!

I don't really know what you mean by clenching your eyes.. what do you mean by "blinking feeling?"

Have you looked at the tutorials page for some WILD techniques? They are all slightly different by the way, it's just the general concept that is the same throughout.

Hi and welcome to Dream Views.

I'm not sure what you mean about clenching your eyes either. I've never tried that. When I attempt to have a WILD I just get into a comfortable position and relax as if I were going to sleep. I don't clench my eyes, just close them and try to stay conscious as my body falls asleep.

      Ah.
What time are you trying this? Are you trying to have a WILD right when you lay down for all night sleep?

Ah, that's why it isn't working.

Normally it's best to attempt a WILD after you've had a few hours sleep, at least 5 hours. By then you should be into stages of REM sleep, prime time for attempting a lucid dream.

Before I go and confuse you trying to explain i'll give you a link to the Wake Back to Bed method. It'll explain what you need to know.

      WBTB METHOD

Hopefully that will help you out.

That is probably your problem there. You should sleep about 5-6 before attempting a WILD. At the beginning of the night, you're not even in your REM period.

      Edit: What Vex said.

What do you mean by the "Dream World." Do you mean begin to dream? That depends, from a wild, or from going straight to sleep?

Hehe, beware our genius super powers.

As for entering the "dream world" (from a WILD), there's such a huge variation to that that averaging the times won't really be much use.
