      welcome to dreamviews zaze

Its good you have dream recall down, but do you do reality checks? since you have good dream recall you could try something thats a little different. Wake up at around 5am and take a cold shower. This should increase your chances of having a lucid dream.

I told this to somebody earlier, you may be giving lucid dreaming the illusion of being really difficult when it is in fact easy, or at least easier than you expect. Before you go to bed tonight expect to have a lucid dream, know that you will have one.

Also, I wish my dream recall was as good as yours again.

      ^Probably

Thanks everyone, I think I have a pretty good grasp on what to do, just having some difficulty putting it into practice. I usually wake up after every REM and I'm just like, "Man, how did I now know that was a dream?!"

Thanks for the reminder, also, Sugarglider, I need to be more conscientious about doing RC's during the day, and more importantly while dreaming.

Last night I did all the stretches I could remember from HS before I went to bed to try to get in a relaxed physical state easier and it worked, I think.

Off topic, anyone ever tried fresh squeezed carrot juice? Man, this stuff is great!

      Welcome!

Also off topic...you brought up a vegan diet and raw fruit juices etc. I think if you are at all interested to definitley give ti a try. I have had experince with eating a raw vegan diet. I did it a good part of last year and am doing so right now. I decided to do it for health reasons (my sister has cancer and I hated sitting around feeling helpless and waiting to get it myself). It is the most healing diet that I know of. I feel better in so many ways.

And good luck with your dreaming.

Thanks, I know the feeling, my dad was diagnosed with fibromyalgia (sp) in 1998 and was told by 2000 he would be in a wheel chair and probably die in 3-4 years. Well, this past summer he rode his bicycle a total of something like 500 miles... so go figure! I've got all the equipment and know-how at my disposal and I'd really like to live another 100 years, so why not, ya know? I feel a lot better in the week I've been drinking carrot juice (usually with spinach and romaine lettuce), not one new pimple, no back pain in the morning, less pain in my foot, and I haven't needed one single Tums for indegestion.

Now if I could just master this lucid dreaming thing... haha.

During my afternoon nap today, I tried to be mindful of reality checks but I never could do it while dreaming, only when I woke up sporadically could I take a few quick glances at the clock. Once again, woke up and said to myself, "That was crazy, how did I NOT realize it?!"

That's awesome! Good for you. Sounds like you have a good attitude too. And that 's great about you dad. Is he eating a special diet?

I have been lucid dreaming for almost two years now and I still have that happen to me. Sometimes the slightest abnormal thing makes me lucid. Other times the weirdest things can happen and I totally miss it.

So keep trying. You sound like the kind of person that will stick with it and master it.
