      My first lucid...i think

      ok last night i was in my lhjving room and for some reason i said oh my god this is a lucid, i got excited and my dream faded, i heard that spinning makes your lucid come back but i just woke up, it felt like only 5 seconds. i wanna know is it possible i dreamt i had a lucid because it didnt seem right.

      Sounds like you had a brief bout of lucidity to me. As soon as you realize you're dreaming you're lucid.

      The short lucid dreams with low vividness or control do have an odd feel about them.

      Congrats...and welcome!

      I agree with the others. Sometimes the first LDs are short because they are unexpected and you get very excited. In time you will get more used to the feeling of first becoming lucid. I have found it also helps to go to bed with a goal in mind for when I become lucid. It helps me stay focused and in the dream.
