      Smile First Posting

      Hi,
I think I have been lucid dreaming for a while but I didn't know there was a name for it. I had repetitive dreams for years when all of a sudden one night in the middle of the dream I stopped and said "Don't worry, you're only having a dream". I was shocked but I have been able to say that to myself every time I have that specific dream.
I never pursued finding out anything about the dreams I just thought it was amazing to be able to do that.
I am looking forword to learning more and exploring lucid dreaming.
      Shari

      Welcome to Dreamviews, Shari!

It's great that you've already had lucid dreams, when you weren't even trying to. This should make your attempts at inducing lucidity much easier. If you haven't already, you might want to take a look at the Tutorials forum, which is full of techniques to help you become lucid.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Hi and welcome to the site.

I see you have experienced lucidity by suddenly realizing your in the midst of a dream. If you don't already know that's referred to as a Dream Initiated Lucid Dream, DILD for short. There are more ways of attaining more of those if you're willing to put a little effort into dreaming.

Here's a link to more info on DILDs ... >> CLICK ME <<

Glad you chose to join and best of luck scoring more lucid dreams.

      Welcome to the forum Shari!

Most people tend to have lucids at young ages to escape nightmares however unfortunately a majority of people lose that ability when they get older.

      Have fun and good luck!
