      spirit guide?

      im a beginner for sure and i've heard some people talk about finding their spirit guide to me it kinda sounds strange but dreams are dreams, so could someone explain what spirit guide's are?

      A dream character manifested by the subconscious to help you through your dreams. It usually takes the form of someone that you look up to (celebrity figure, your father, grandfather, smokey the bear)

      so its not really there, its just something people want in there dreams so they make it up?

      (spirit guide talk has sometimes confused me so i want to get things straight)

      Dream guides aren't real per ce, they are just a manifestation of your dream. However, they are your subconscious so they know things about you and about the dream world that you don't.

      A spirit guide or dream guide is an entity that helps you achieve what you want. It is benevolent and will not try to harm you.

      A lot of people believe their dream guides/spirit guides to be real.
      Often they are supposedly aliens, or angels or even Jesus himself.
      And no, I'm not kidding, I knew a lady that had a huge diary of her little chats with her spirit guide who were aliens. One was Jesus.

      In my opinion though, they are just figments of imagination. Very good ones sometimes, but figments all the same.
