      Newbie, Want help :)

Hi all you crazy dreaming nutters!

      So anyway.

I've always been able to control my dreams, from about the age of 10.

I used to have bad dreams and my dad said that i can control them, this stopped me having bad dreams and i love dreaming now.

The reason i joined this forum is because of a recent experience i had. It was completely out of this world. (well, my world anyway)

Ill try to explain it without taking to long...

So i started getting this weird thing, from about a year ago, kind of like a nightmare, so dont read on if you don't want to. (but seriously, its nothing to be afraid of)

So i'd be sleeping, and in mydream i would hear wind. Bla bla bla, the wind gets louder, i wake up but i still hear it. Im very cold, bla bla, the wind is very loud and i can't hear myself shouting. Kinda scary.

I dont want to go into it much more but anywayyyy. Recently i managed to turn it around into something pretty cool.
Im a teenage boy and we all know what they dream about

      Thanks.

I already have moderate control over my dreams, but they rarely have any length at all. Can i have some tips on that please?

Your mind was not fully awake yet. Lots of times immediately after waking up you are still dreaming and your dream and real world will blend together. Most of the time it's a fraction of a second, but I remember one time when I personally watched a balloon elephant float around my room for about a minute.

Either that you you only dreamed that you woke up.

Length just comes from experience, they'll get longer. Lots of guys start lucid dreaming with sex, I yell at them.

      Im not that kinda guy!

      Okay...maybe a little xD

But im sure i was awake. Ofcourse, i could be wrong, but im as sure as i can be.

I dont get enough sleep, and as a result, i rarely dream. Its a pitty to because every dream i have i know its a dream, and this would be a good kickstart into lucid, am i right?

Oops sorry I missed your question.

If you want to maintain your lucidity and keep the dreams long then it is best to try rubbing your hands or looking at your hands ect. Even trying to just sit back and take everything in works.

      Hey, welcome to the forum.

Seems to me you experienced a false awakening - this is where you dream that you have awoken from your sleep, when in actual fact you are still dreaming.

Many people when lucid dreaming experience false awakenings, and just reality checking everytime you wake in the morning can be a good way to prolong lucidity.

If you have any more questions, happy to help.
      Adam
