      Talking Hi, everybody!!

What's up? I'm new at this place and ever since I learned about being able to control your lucid dreams, I've been really excited and wanted to try it as soon as possible. I just recently started keeping a DJ like... 2 days ago, so it'll probably take me a while to master the art of LDing. But I'm getting there!!

Anyway, I'm not really sure if I'm one of those "gifted" LDers who can learn it pretty easily, but... I've had lucid dreams before when I was little. Like, 12 or 13-ish. I don't think I had any recently, but I came close once, when I was dreaming and became lucid for 1 second before losing it and going off into dream-world.

Hopefully, this forum will be a help to my mission and I look forward to the day when I can have super powers in my dreams!!

      to DreamViews, Dreams Rock!

Your on the right track by starting your journal. I think that since you've had lucids before, you will be able to get them back pretty easily.

      Good luck, and have fun!

Thanks! Also, I was wondering... what's the difference between WBTB and WILD? They all seem the same to me... but maybe I'm not reading hard enough. =/

WILD = Wake Induced Lucid Dream

It involves entering a dream conciously. (sp?)

Basically your body falls asleep while your mind is awake, its really cool, even though ive only got about 3 quarters trhough the process xD

WBTB = Wake back to bed, or, waking up in the middle of the night.

Dizko explained it pretty well. However WBTB is almost required for WILD. It's possible to WILD without doing it, but it's much harder. That's probably why you got the two confused, they're mentioned together a lot.

      Welcome to the forum!

Sounds pretty cool! It looks much easier for me to do that than to consistently look at my hands or my watch... XD

It's regarded as one of the more difficult techniques, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't work the first few times you try it.

If you haven't seen them already, we have a good number of good tutorials about WILD: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=1886, http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=40684, and http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=9806. There's probably a few more in the Tutorials forum if you haven't found it already.
