      Dream clarity?

First time poster, but I've been reading the forums for the past few days...
Quick question though, generally speaking how visually clear are LDs? Like, can you literally feel like if you wanted to you could look down at the intricate patterns on a leaf, or see all the differences in grass? Or is it strange and unclarified? I know that WILDs are more vivid than others... But what is a common type of LD, and how clear is it?
      Thanks

      Hi pyryn

im pretty new to this myself but from what iv experianced so far (two ld's which i woke from by gettin excited) the images i have experienced are strange but i also get a wierd sense of fascination when im looking out into the dream. i havent had time to study them as you suggest but i think with pratice and time etc, your dreams can become as vivid as you like

Coming from a member whose been on here for quite a while, this is what I can tell you.

Vividness is based upon a bunch of things, but if its a really clear lucid, it's just as vivid as real life. You can increase these things by yelling out "CLARITY!" in your dream, or something like that, but as far as lucid dreaming goes, Clarity is top notch.

      Welcome to DV!

I've had dreams where I was watching the ripples on water, or the grease on a crossbow, and it's splinters.
Yes, it's very vivid, if you have a good lucid

I've been very bad with having quality WILDs though, they seem to not be deep enough. Like I'm near to waking up.

      Welcome to the forum.

The clarity of lucids changes. Some can be very vivid where as some aren't that good. The average lucid can be quite good, infact some lucids can be more real then real life.

WILDs aren't necessarily more vivid then other lucids.

If you want to increase clarity then you might want to try rubbing your hands.

One thing I notice in a decent ND with mild lucidness or a full on LD is the distance that can be viewed. Looking out across a lake and seeing the mountains on the other side, and snow on the top. Or standing on the mountain and looking out as the valleys and hills stretch out below. With it all being very clear.

(Also must note that my eyes are not the best and a bit blurry since I don't wear glasses often, so my dreams tend to seem ultra clear as I am not using my regular eyes to see em.)

I think it depends on setting, lucidness, and choice.... do you want to see far, or do you want to focus on whats close to you?

"“Evil? Good? These are merely words. In the eyes of the universe neither of those exist. There are only three elements, that act as a base for all that you see around. There is Light. There is Dark. And there is the balance between those two. Good and Evil are concepts, used to deny oneself from serving the balance. By serving, you participate in the great creation."

Also, as mentioned by Neavo, WILDS aren't neccesarilly more vivid then others, it just starts out super vivid because you never go into a sub-conscious dream state. It's just a conscious dream state from the start.
