Improving dream recall before starting reality checking?

I was just thinking, because my current dream recall is so lously, would it be better to work solely on that before starting doing reality checks/other LD techniques? All I seem to remember is a few minutes per night, maybe a bit longer if i'm lucky, so there wouldnt be too much point learning to LD if I couldnt remember it!

I'm trying not to start with too much at once, last time I tried gaining the ability to LD, I ended up trying to do too many things at once, and became frustrated at lack of progress.

Or would be better to go for everything at once, try and saturate myself with all things to do with Dreams and LD's? And then perhaps doing so would improve on my ability that way?

Its a very good idea to strengthen your Dream Recall quite a bit before anything. Though there is no harm in Reality Checking all the same. But the whole idea is just that, whats the point of having a lucid if you won't remember it? Recall is very important, it will also help you with your Reality Checking in the future, making achieving lucidity that much easier.

I agree with Exo.. I'd work on my dream recall while still doing reality checks.

      Thanks for the advice

I've written RC on my hand for now, going to do a check every time I see it. Hopefully, i'll end up not even needing the writing there, but I doubt i'd remember for now

I think, the more, the better, especially at first.

      Good luck!
