      WILD problem

I have been trying to WILD for a couple of days now but all of them have been unsuccessful. First I sleep for about 7 hours and try to WILD when I wake up. I get to the point where I get vibrations, a shifting feeling, and occasionally see images and hear some sounds but that lasts for about 10 seconds then I'm in the relaxation stage again. I do the nose RC only to find that I'm still awake. I try to keep going for about 10 more minutes to see if it happens again but it doesn't so I give up. Should I give up this method or should I try harder?

I wouldn't give up, because the right things are starting to happen.

Turn your patience up a notch, and you might be rewarded.

Where'd you go to, Mr Ears?
I am posting on topic elsewhere for the most part.

My DJ here at DVs, Realized Aspiration only contains old dreams. I'll be around for the occasional chat, and some unfinished/unstarted RPs.

And you, yeah you, with the ice cream hands. You, yeah you, are my friend. ~ Still my mentor, and an awesome guy.

Thinking about your question a bit more (and ignoring AspiR there), I'd add this:

Since you're doing the reality test, and finding yourself not dreaming, it's clear that you have not yet entered sleep paralysis or dreaming. Seeing as you are clearing starting to experience various manifestations of hypnagogia, you are certainly headed in the right direction, and if you have made this progress after only a couple days of trying, you're really doing very well.

Definitely don't give up on it.

I am certainly no authority on WILD'ing as I am more a natural lucid dreamer but I've done it on occasion, mostly unintentionally. I know that there are some pretty good tutorials here from very knowledgable people who can WILD like nobody's business... I recall that Clairity (for one) has a pretty good tutorial posted, and there are quite a few others who also gladly share their successful methods with others.

Patience and practice will get you closer to a WILD.

Unless you're a born natural lucid dreamer, it'll usually take more than a couple of days to learn how to WILD. Just keep at it.

I'd suggest you find method that could help you to have DILDs as well. That way you're covering both those bases. Sooner or later one or the other will work.
