      Hello :D

      Hello. I stumbled across this site when I googled for "lucid dreaming", after I had a lucid dream. I knew what I had was called a lucid dream because I read a conversation about it on an IRC channel I used to frequent.
      I am hoping to learn new techniques to improve the amount of times I become lucid.
      I also spoke to my sister about this and she told me that she has been doing it since she could remember.

      Welcome to the forum, rbm Glad you found us!

      That's cool your sister has LDs, maybe you can discuss it together and help each other along. You'll probably find that a lot of people have been aware they were dreaming as some point, but never knew there was an actual name for it.

      This is a great place to learn more about LDing. Here are some links to get you started.

      And don't forget to keep a dream journal! It will be your most important tool in developing your recall and LDing.

      How cool that you have a sister that you can talk about it with. After I learned about LDing, I told my sister and she had one, so now we both know how cool it is. It's nice to be close to someone who understands how neat this is.

      I agree that keeping a dream journal is very helpful. I have kept one for almost two years and it really keeps me motivated...and its a lot of fun to go back and read dreams that I had a while back.
