      Red face strange dream

ok , i had a lucid dream the other night , it was great , so i tried to do it again , last night i was trying to WILD , but i only fell asleep , but all i was thinking about was WILDing , so later on , in the morning , i had this dream:

i was watching a monk (?) from birds eye view...

he was talking to himself.. he said "so , yeah , i tried to astral project last night , but i only ended up in hospital" and when i went inot this dream , i instantly thought "yess woooo" , altough , i never said to myself "im dreaming" ..so i went inside this monk(?) like i took over him ,and i had a big black cloak on , like voldamourt.. i carried on walking and acted exactly how i would in a lucid dream , but its like i KNEW it was a lucid dream , but i didnt bother telling myself it was , anyway , so i jumped , JUST like i did in the last lucid dream , and i floated (just like the last LD) it was soo much fun , i dodges another building(just like my last LD) and hovered gently over people in my school grounds , in reality , it was early morning in the dream it was the same , i was watching people talking and playing , laughing and shouting just like in real life and no-one saw me , i was hovering verticaly , i was a natural! i was swerving slowly and it was quite hard to do , i was twisting and turning above everybody not far above them tho.

then i came down , and said to someone , "look , watch this!" and jumped , (i always do this in a lucid dream) but i didnt exactly know i was lucid... so anyway BLAH BLAH BLAH BLA BLAH BLAH then i was talking to my dad that was coming out of a shed in the school yard , he came over , and i was like "what!! you cant be here , i must be dreaming!!" but my dad said "your not dreaming will you just shut up ok?" so i took his word.. so i thought i wasnt dreaming and went with the flow..

he showed me around the school (?) there was mutant rats with wings and he was telling me that there ARE things like that , mutants , but not everyone can see them...
so yeah he showed me around the place (?) then later , my mum woke me up because i was late for school....

so does anyone know what was going on?

If I read that correctly it sounds like you were lucid and lost lucidity eventually.

You don't NEED to say 'I'm dreaming' to know you're lucid. You just have to realize you're in a dream. I often tell myself that I'm dreaming just as a way to hold onto the lucidity. Maybe you should try that next time and hopefully you'll be able to hold onto that lucidity a little longer?

I forgot to add, singing dream related songs has helped me to hang onto lucidity as well, if you'd like to give that a shot. It's more fun than walking around saying, "im dreaming'.
