3 Lucids, and none of them worked...

3 lucids in one night. The first one I woke up soon after I became lucid, the 2nd one I lost control and the third one I tries to spin to change my settings but spun into waking life. It seems merely thinking about lucids causes me to have them, I was not trying any particular methods this night, yet had a mid-dream lucidity 3 times in a row. Can someone explain this to me?

Can someone explain this to me? Vance, maybe for you just the "thought/intention" was enough to cause you to LD. Rather than trying to have it explained.. I say just be grateful and hope it continues to work!

Control only comes with time. For you first couple of dreams just try to stay in the dream and keep them in focus. You can't go flying away or spinning to the moon right off the bat. What you are having is called a DILD.

Sometimes just reading about lucid dreaming or the simple act of making a few posts on the forum will be enough to help someone have a lucid dream. In my case, I sometimes come on late at night and read through the dream journals and then go back to bed to have a lucid dream shortly thereafter. That should become an induction technique on it's own, Dream Journal Induced Lucid.
