      Post Hello world!

      Hi,

I've had a single LD that lasted 10 seconds...

It occured after I was in one place, went somewhere else, then back again.

      I did two reality checks,
      • Finger through hand
      • Covering nose and mouth

And both passed, they went as normal. I still thought "I'm dreaming", jumped in the air 3 times, then "woke" up into another dream.

      HAND! (Have A Nice Day/Dream)

Don't jump up and down. Your breathing and heartrate in your dreams will affect your real body and increase in both of those will wake you up.

      Oh and to DV.

I didn't wake up, I psudo-woke into another part of my dream, but I'll keep that in mind.

I don't experience any of the traditional signs like static light levels, and my dreams have few oddities other than the "random disjointed movement" thing.

Any reccomendations for other RCs I can do?

      Oh and to DV.
      Thanks.

Hi abi. My favorite RC is just looking at my hand--it is almost always deformed in some way. It's also easy to do during the day. Trying to float is a good one too; very discreet, and pretty cool if you are dreaming!

Interesting... but _how_ do I attempt to do that?

You just start thinking about floating, trying to make yourself float. If you ar dreaming, you may actually start doing it. If you are not dreaming, nobody knows anything weird is going on.

Hi and welcome to Dream Views.

Congrats on the lucidity and hope you have more.

PS The floating RC works. Moonbeam knows what she's talking about.

      Welcome abi,

That's great that you already have had a lucid dream. Congrats!

I also use the "floating" RC. But I have always been good at flying and floating even before learning to lucid dream. But give it a try along with some of the others suggested. Moonbeam's hand one is also good. Hands are almost always distorted in some way in dreams. Sometimes you have to look close.
