      Hello=)

I decided to start one of these "Hi I'm new here" threads 'cuz I'm pretty shy on the internet and I'm afraid that if no one greets me I'll chicken out and stop posting here. And I'd really like to be a part of this forum.

I was really amazed when I did an internet search a few weeks ago after a particularly long and interesting SP + lucid nightmare and found this community comprising so many people who experience the same things that I do. I've never actually met anyone who dreams like I do and most people aren't even interested so I tend not to talk to anyone about my experiences. So I'm pretty exited to be here! Plus the forum is inspiring me to experiment with dream control, something I haven't bothered with in years.

Also, I've been considering starting a dream journal on here and I'm wondering if I should start with old journal entries (starting years back) or just start fresh. Any suggestions?

Welcome to DV! Hope you like it here.

As for the dream journal thing, you can do either, it's your journal after all.

Welcome to DV! Don't be shy! I'll tell you who to steer clear of... ...

Do whatever you want with your journal. I would prefer to start fresh just because typing up older dreams won't necessarily help with your recall.

I'm one of those people she's talking about...

Nah, I'm kidding. I won't even pull the noob gun gag on you. You look like a promising addition. I'm a newb too... only a week and a half here at DVs.

You'll find (or have already found) that just reading other people's threads is good to learn... but unlike a lot of places, posting gives you a great deal as well. So don't be shy. I've found as a newb that the people here are very accepting, and always willing to help, even if they've seen the same questions a bagillion times.

As for the Dream Journal thing, I think it couldn't hurt to recall your old dreams and place them somewhere separate from where you start your DJ now. That way you get to stat completely fresh (coming to DreamViews may have the same profound impact on you as it did me), and you can always look back at those old dreams for reoccurring patterns.

Good luck in your dream travels, and I'll see you around the threads ^_^
I am posting on topic elsewhere for the most part.

My DJ here at DVs, Realized Aspiration only contains old dreams. I'll be around for the occasional chat, and some unfinished/unstarted RPs.

And you, yeah you, with the ice cream hands. You, yeah you, are my friend. ~ Still my mentor, and an awesome guy.

Haha i found it through a random search too. I was really bored one night and have always been interested in controlling dreams but never knew if it was possible or anything so i searched and found this site.

Im also the same way with not talking to people i n real life about dreaming and stuff. No one seems to care even though its so interesting and thats why this site is the best.

I agree with Aspiration. You should definitely make 2 dream journals. One of them should have your old dreams and then start fresh with a new one. Its always good to look back at your old dreams

I think a fresh start would be best, I'm doing fresh starts every year.

Aww, don't be afraid of the internet. Look, we have bananas
