      Writing down dreams in reverse

Is it ok if, in my notes on my dreams, I write down events in roughly reverse order? Should I use an abbreviation like "BT" for "before that"? I think I'm finding that I want to write down the last events first, then what happened before that, etc.

I don't think there would be a problem with writing down your dreams backwards. As long as you write down as much detail as you can remember. An abbreviation of some kind might be nice though, for readability purposes.

"Remebering backwards" is a very good way to improve recall--it can really bring the dream back if you keep asking, "And what happened before that?"

Use anything you can to help remind yourself of the dream so you can remember it in the morning. Sometimes just one word will bring back a lot for me.

as they say it is good for recall and as long as u remember it is cool

well i do that when i wake up i write the last thing then remember the first "i write them by notices"
then i copy them to my dj by order from the first thing to last thing by details
      live happy

Yeah, I always write down my last remembered dream, and then keep remembering the previous ones.
However, sometimes I'll remember a dream from way early in the night while writing down a recent one and I'll quickly write down a note about it so I can remember it.

I think Stephen LaBerge talks about in his books its always better to write down your most recent one because you can write more and more details and keep asking yourself "what happened before that?"

I feel the same way. I remember the last things better.

When I make my notes I leave lots of room around what I write so I can add in things that I remember happened before that or in between certain parts. It's only after I get all the details I can remember in my (often very messy) notes, that I take them here and write them in my Dream Journal.
