Thread: how do you get into a lucid dream?

There are many methods to gaining lucidity. Check the Tutorials section.

My preferred method: DILD, or Dream Induced Lucid Dream

You fall asleep normally, start dreaming, and check for thing irregular. These checks are called "reality checks". One example is to look at your hands. If you have any extra/missing digits, you can infer that you are dreaming. Then you can do crazy stuff.

Snowblind, the tutorial section explains the many ways of inducing a lucid dream. The forums give a lot of tips as well; it just takes some reading to get some background in the many variations that people use.
