      Welcome to Dreamviews!

It's cool that you're doing a project on dreaming! Let me know if I can help out with that in some way.

Writing your dreams down is one of the most effective ways to improve your ability to remember you dreams, and you can even write them down here on the forum. Just create a thread in this section, and people can comment on and offer advice about your dreams.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I've read about that before, although I don't know how to fix it. In a lucid dream, you could try to make those "tension cords" real, and then destroy them. But in a non-lucid dream, there's not much you can do.

Learning to fly would be something that I would recommend.

The problem with running is that it increases your dream breath rate and heart rate, which are directly related to your real rates. Higher breathing / heart rates wake you up, that's probably why you can't do it in dreams.

Hey, I've had that happen in non-lucids! It was like waves of force were forcing me back and up into the air and I couldn't get anywhere.

I have this happen from time to time in non lucid dreams. My solution is to run backwards. For some reason, whatever it is that slows me down doesn't affect me when I run backwards. It sounds weird, but it works for me. You can try it if you remember. Better yet, try to use this as a dream sign to help you become lucid. Then you can just decide to fly away...

Twoshadows, I would never have thought to run backwards.. how did you ever come up with that?

Hey there and to DV. I'm not too sure about the running but I'd give Twoshadows' idea a shot.
There is no real-life, there is only AFK.

I'm not sure. I think it was discovered out of desperation. And as strange as it sounds, I can go much faster backwards in that situation. But the "slow running" is such a good dream sign, we need to just recognize it and become lucid.

On another note people seem to find it easier to run through walls backwards instead of forwards.
