      It's an acronym for Sleep Paralysis, I believe Howie made an announcement for it here.

      Basically it is this:

      A complete temporary paralysis occurring in connection with sleep and especially upon waking.

      A condition in which, upon waking, a person is aware of the surroundings but is unable to move.

      Give the site a little search.
      There are numerous threads on Sleep Paralysis and it's usefulness in attempting to lucid dream.
