hi ive been to this forum on another account for about a little more then a year ago but never really posted anything but i got a few lucid dreams from following some guids and help here on this forum but some stuff came up and i havent been to this forum for what seems like ages and cant access my old account anymore thats why ive made a new account and i hope il be able to start lucid dreaming again im on some new medication now called concerta hope that wont get in the way if it can cause any problems woulden mind if someone would tell me.

i really wanna know if the concerta im taking will affect my lucid dreaming Jixaga, does the label/instructions state that concerta may make you drowsy. If it does, it may make your dreams weird, disjointed or may cause you to sleep "heavier" and therefore not remember any dreams at all upon waking. If concerta makes no mention of it affecting your sleep, then I doubt it would affect your ability to lucid dream. Note: These are just my opinions. If someone has some first hand experience, please provide it and thanks!

well found this on some web page this is basically what its used for and what it does. Concerta is a reformulation of Ritalin for sustained delivery. Like Ritalin, Concerta "works" on children in the same way that related stimulants like Cocaine work on adults — sharpening the short-term attention span when the drug kicks in and producing equally predictable valleys ("coming down," in street parlance; "rebounding," in Ritalinese) when the effect wears off. Because it releases over several hours it delivers a smoother dose over about twelve hours, the peaks and valleys are not as pronounced. Since both are methylphenidate, they are often referred to as "Kiddie Cocaine. it says these are the most common side effect The most common side effects reported were headache (14&#37, upper respiratory tract infection (8%), stomach ache (7%), vomiting (4%), loss of appetite (4%), sleeplessness (4%), increased cough (4%), sore throat (4%), sinusitis (3%), and dizziness (2%) well dont know why it says its for children im 18 years old and know of a few adults who have taken it. been taking the meds for a while havent noticed anything strange about my sleep other than if i forget to take it its like i can sleep 24/7 only side effects ive noticed is the loss of appetite and headaches that i got in the beginning they were a real pain. well il just see how it goes and try to start getting lucid dreams.

Welcome Jixaga! As far as I know Ritalin will give you overstimulated, weired dreams. This is not necessarily bad. The only way to know for sure on this Concerta stuff is to dive into your own dreams and see. How have your recent dreams been? If you haven't had any since taking it, strive to find out.

well ive noticed ive had some strange weird dreams non that i can really remember right now but ive had some pretty normal ones to.

I'm no professional, but if you can have dreams at all (normal or weired), than you can have lucidity. My brother has taken similar things and and actually reported lucid dreams higher in quality than people who do not take the drugs. Focus all your attention on boosting dream recall!
