      Failed RC, false awakening

Well, today I had a strange dream, I was in class (not lucid) and I teleported to a street near my house, then I walked to my house and I found a classmate coming from inside my house, and I tought "This is really strange, I've never invited him to my house".
And then I knew I was dreaming, I did a RC, but my dream started to fade, I was awaking up, so I tought of provoking a false awakening, but I couldn't make it, I was really waking up, but instead, I suffered a false awakening, but I was thinking that I was really awake, so the dream continued to be a non-lucid one. It was like I forgot I provoked it.

      The questions I have are:
      1. Is there any way, I can stabilize a dream, by false awakening, and not being tricked by my mind (and still remember to RC after false awakening)

      2. Is it better to spin and/or rub hands or to provoke a false awakening? Or other method?

      3. After I had the false awakening, I went to the bathroom, and there was a red spot in my face, I squeezed it, and a really big blood red like larva came out from my skin, this isn't real in RL, so, how can I see that I am dreaming and not let this really strange things happen in dreams? I do many RC when I see strange things in RL, but maybe it isn't enough

And after I woke up today, I tried to WILD, but I failed because I was counting, and I never fell asleep, and when I stopped counting, I slept and I was dreaming normally. What did I failed? Maybe I stood up for to long for me?

Many thanks in advance for reading my questions

I'll answer your questions backwards because the last one is in my head freshest.

You should keep counting until you get to a dream. You aren't supposed to fall asleep (your body is) your mind stays awake.

Weird things don't invoke lucidity because the logical part of the brain is for the most part, turned off.

Spinning and rubbing hands are designed to keep you in the dream that you are in, not create a false awakening. The best way to invoke a false awakening is to simply close your eyes. This can also cause a real awakening though.

I recommend a different method for stabilization. Forget stabilizing your dream, let yourself wake up, but don't move a muscle. You will immediately get sucked back into your dream and have a DEILD. I use this method all the time.

Ah thanks, it worked. I had a lucid sometime ago and I was able to have it stabilized. Thank you for the tips =)
