      Hiii, I'm back !!

Hi all. like you can see, i did'nt come here in dreamviews a long time ago. it has been like 7 or 8 months 'cause i had some reasons (problems to be accurate). By reading a lot of stuff & tutorials here. i had success with lucid dreaming 4 or 5 times using WILD technique. Now i'm back to this great community & hope to have more success with LDs.

Lately, i visited www.lucidipedia.com recommend WBTB technique specially for beginners. I tried that & found that this technique is really amazing, but it requires a lot of effort & discipline specially with RCs. So i thought to create a powerful RC that occurs a lot in my dreams. I found that I meet a lot in my dreams unknown people, so i based my RC on this and during my days, i begun to do RC with my friends and say to myself (do i know this person ?... ) the same thing goes with unknown people. That's simply amazing 'cause i think the key to have LD is RC and this last week, i had 3 LDs . The only problem i have is my LD take about 5 to 10 seconds

Now, i hope i'll find some help here & make my LDs more long.
      Thanks

I can't say if this works personally, as I haven't had much luck with lucid dreams, but I know other people recommend rubbing your hands or spinning in circles.

      Good Luck

newleosnake, what a great RC.. I can see how this would be effective!

With respect to your short LDs, for those new to lucid dreaming, I advise that you don't try to set the lucid world on fire your first few dreams.. don't try to do too many tricks, summon people, etc. Simply go with the flow and take it all in. Get used to what being lucid FEELS like so you can ground yourself in your dreams.. that's when the tricks/stunts can happen.

Your first few dreams simply act like a tourist in a new place.. go sightseeing and take in all the different colors and sounds. You may try to increase your vividness by confidently declaring "increase lucidity" or "clarity now" but that would be the extent of control I would recommend for struggling dreamers.

I still have to remind myself the moment I become lucid to get "grounded" in my dream (i.e., make it as lucid as it could be) instead of immediately racing to do something before I lose lucidity.

One of the tricks I use to "ground" myself is to "touch" things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. (this also helps me remain in the dream longer).

Also, there is no "try" when you're lucid.. only "do". You must KNOW that there is nothing you can't have nor perform while in your dream.

Just remember that "the deeper the level of lucidity.. the better your lucid experience should be".

Oh, and welcome back to Dream views!

I'm glad you re-joined is, newleosnake. I'll have to check out that site.

Your technique sounds great. I try to do that with people too from work--I always come across them in dreams, as well as strangers. I often forget about that, so thanks for reminding me.

Hopefully with practice, now that you are developing good techniques, you will also start lengthening your dreams.

      Good luck!
