      My dreams are testing me

I have to admit that last night was the first time I ever even tempted an LD, and it was as if my conscience was wanting me to become lucid but I just wouldn't.

One example from last night was one of my dreams took place in my kitchen. Me and a friend were rehearsing lines for a play. I stood against the kitchen sink while my friend rehearsed his lines standing in front of the microwave. There is a clock above the microwave and the entire time I kept glancing up at the clock. I didn't know why, but I felt like I had to keep looking at the clock.

After waking up, and thinking about the dream, I was like, DUH, I had about 50 opportunities while just lounging against the kitchen sink to do a reality check.

Has this happened to anybody? I know I'm extrememly new at this and it will take a while, but why do you think I'm being told to do reality checks by my dreams but I won't/can't seem to figure out to do them?

Yes, this happens to many people. It is because you are much less aware in your dreams.

It may be because you haven't been conditioned to do reality checks. It might help for you to start doing reality checks in real life.

A tutorial on Reality Checks can be found in the Tutorials forum which contains information on the various lucid dreaming techniques and other helpful information: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25.

You might want to review the Newbie Zone Guide for helpful information about this site: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=36723

Don't worry if you don't get lucid immediately from reality checks. It takes some people time for it to work. Some people don't even need reality checks to become lucid.
