Lucid dreaming? I'm not sure

Hello, I have a problem and I need help solving it, that's why I registered on this website. The problem isn't that complicated, I've tried to ask my family members and my friend but most of the are unaware of what lucid dreaming is. My first lucid dreaming experience was yesterday, or I think so, and I'm completely shocked. For just a brief moment (6 hours) which felt like 30 minutes I was God. I could control everything and anything and I was completely aware that I was dreaming. I strongly believe that this was LD, but I'm not sure. The thing is that I don't remember nothing except the 'important' parts of the dream. I remember that I could control a fountain and I made my face appear in the sky. But when I woke up I had completely forgotten everything that I had dreamt, and later when in the shower, I remembered everything. Well that's say the 'important' bits. So the question is, did I lucid dream? I have read some background information about LD before the dream and now I'm continuing to read some more. So some of the things I've read checks out. I was first unaware that I was dreaming, but then I started walking up the stair on the house I was in. I looked in the mirror or saw something strange in a clock (honestly I don't know), and almost instantly I knew that I was dreaming. Then I realized that I could control the world I was in and remembered that I had read something about this.
