      Howdy. Mind if I share?

      Hello.

I recently became interested in lucid dreaming after watching a tv program in which this act was explained. I have also found some lucid dreaming audio called "Hemi-Sync" if anyone knows about that. The audio in that series makes my body turn paralyzed every time I listen to it, but that's as far as it goes.

Even though I just gained knowledge of lucid dreaming, I have had some weird little sleeping incidents before...

... for example: This has only happened like 3 times in my whole lifetime. I'll be lying in bed and somehow after falling asleep my eyes slightly open during a dream. At this time I see two things. I see the dream in one part of my vision and then I see my pillow and alarm clock in another part of my vision. I notice a dream is going on in my head, but I can feel my pillow.. so I think I'm like in the middle of waking up and dreaming or something. This won't last long and I'll fully open my eyes and wonder what the heck that was.

I'm also keeping up with a dream journal as I usually have 1-2 dreams a night. 3-5 if I get a lot of sleep.

Hey there, and welcome to the forum!

It sounds like you have great dream recall - that'll be helpful when you try to get lucid. A dream journal is a must for lucid dreaming, and it's good to see that you've already started one.

As for your experience, I believe that you were in the hypnopompic stage of sleep - the stage between dreaming and waking up, where you can feel both the dream and reality.

If you need any help, feel free to ask me or any of the other dream guides (members with green names) for assistance.
