Unhappy Time problem for sp wild?

would you say maybe my mi d is to awake even though my body is killing me because when I try to enter sleep paralysis it takes a really long time
maybe 2+ hours of staying conscious and I don't even swallow. I feel numbness alot and if by mistake I move a finger even an Inch I feel what you can call a slight tingling everywhere but then thats gone. I'm not sure, but when I tried this I had a few distractions, there was a time when I felt like I was floating but I knew I wasn't in sp because I could still hear the outside noises family, air, etc. I'm not sure, I've never gootten into full sp just alot of numbness and alot of heaviness .I feel I come close but I'm not sure.

Are you doing a wake-back-to-bed first (sleeping 5-6 hours first)?

no I'm not doing this with a wbtb I did a few minutes ago after a long tiring day. I get numb and really heavy and the occasional tingling and lightweight but thats it. I read people saying only 20 to 40 min but I think to myself after 2 h. This is ridiculous I've heard it takes long sometimes but come on.

WBTB is practically essential to WILDing. You'd be amazed at how much easier it is after sleeping 5-6 hours first.

      Red face

so is it normal for it to have taken that long because I did it without a wbtb?
oh and thankyou for your replies.

Yes. The first REM periods are hours into sleep, so you'd have to wait forever to reach them. There are also a few deep sleep phases in between, that you have to stay conscious for. Also, REM periods are shorter at first, meaning even if you managed to succeed without WBTB, you'd have a short lucid dream.

So basically you should have much better results if you sleep for a few hours during the day before attempting WILD at night?

Have you had any other lds? I found that wilds were much easier(as in I could finally get into an ld) after having several lds (dilds). Oh and my first several attempts did not work (I think like most people), so don't get discouraged/disappointed with these first unsuccessful attempts. Good luck.

No, you go to sleep normally and then wake up 5-6 hours later - then you try to WILD. As far as I know, sleeping during the day won't affect WILDing at night.

Haha, that's bad for me. I go to bed at around 12 in the morning and mainly only go through one sleep cycle per night .
