      So much more vivid

      Hi,
I am new to the site and new to true lucid dreaming. I thought before that I knew what LD was, sort of knowing in the back of your mind that this is a dream, but last night was my true first lucid dream... What I noticed was the most remarkable change in how real the dream became AS SOON AS I took over my sleep body. The colors and details just popped out and it was no less real than right now.
      It was amazing!

I just want to know if others also find that their lucid dreams feel significantly more real and detailed than non lucid dreams.

      Cheers,
      Dreamer

I've had two lucid dreams like that, but a lot of them are fuzzy/short/etc. Those two are the most vivid dreams that I've had, but normally regular dreams are more vivid (for me at least). Even though this is the case, lucid dreams can be made to be more clear and vivid than regular dreams (by spinning, using vocal commands, etc).

Most of my lucid dreams are very realisitic, sometimes they even feel more real to me than waking life. Especially after I've taken a few moments, in mid lucid dream, to simply be awed and appreciative of the world that's woven around me.

My regular dreams seem fairly real as well. I wish they weren't that way. It might be easier to get lucid if my dreams felt more fake.

some lucid dreams are fuzzier than others, but they're always more vivid than my non-lucid dreams. Some of my lucids seem so real that I have to second-guess myself all the time because I wonder if I'm not even dreaming at all.

Well in my opinion, yes it is more real. Sometimes your normal dreams can be fuzzy and in bits. Your lucid dreams are more real and more visual because first of all you know you're dreaming, and you can see everything more clearly.

Also, I just need to say, welcome to Dream Views! If you're staying, enjoy your time!
