Question WILD - failure or not?

Ì tried WILD a couple of times earlier today. I have only had a couple of spontaneous LDs in my life so I didn't know if I was experienced enough to go WILD, but I thought "Why not?".

First time i imagined myself taking swim strokes and counting from one to 99, then starting over. I only saw swirling colors but ny hypnologic image stuff. After a while I felt heavy, and my eyelids started to shake, making it very hard to keep my eyes closed. I also got a tingling fuzzy feeling in my fingers and my arm started shaking but then it stopped.

The second time I started off the same way, I started to feel heavy, but this time it felt more like my whole body was inverted, and every limb was out of place and inside out, it was kind of scary but I managed to not get freaked out. This time though the feeling was stronger when I thought of all the things I would be able to do in my LD, but when I ran out of ideas the feeling also went away. I did not get any images in my head here either.

Was I close to managing a WILD?
Are the hypno-thing images really important to induce a LD?

      welcome to dreamviews Vice

Yes, after reading your expirence I think that you were very close to wilding. Not everyones expireince is the same and those swirling colors were probably Hi.

Next time just try to stay like that a little longer and you will probably wild.

Also, if you have any other questions ask us or go check out the turorial section.

      Good luck

Sounds to me like you were creeping up on a WILD.

I started out using the hypnogogic imagry when first really trying to WILD. I simply watched the images and let them go where they would, form what images they would and eventually I got pulled right into a dream.

Other people don't get HI yet still lucid dream quite wonderfully. So that proves HI is not essential to lucid dream. In my opinion it makes it a bit easieer though.

This is the tutorial I started using.... HERE. It's in the tutorials section of Dream Views. I recommend it if you get vivid hypnogogic imagry.

The thing is I barely got any hypnogogic imagery at all, I just occasionally got some white or purple light coming from the edges of the darkness and fading in the middle. I'll try some more of the techniques in the tutorials section.

Well, like I said, everyones expiriences are diferent. I think the most important thing is that you feel the vibrations and the other physical sensations. Bit I may be wrong about that.

Let us know if you get a wild, good luck
