Question New to the site- Only LDed once. Tips on where to go next?

      Hi everyone ^_^

I just signed up because I read a book ("Dreamrider") that taught me the tearm "lucid dreams."
Luckily for me, the learning of the term coincided with my first ever lucid dream, which had occured only two months ago.

Well, my story of dreaming is pretty unremarkable- I remember at least a dream fragment every night, and have kept a journal for several years. But my New Year's resolution was to keep it more diligently, since my original goal was to dream vividly more often. But now that I know about lucid dreaming... I mean, why go back?

Anyways, my first LD was that I started a new school year in a new school, met up with my friends, and began to talk.
Then all of a sudden, I realized that I did not remember any of my last school year. I drew the conclusion that I must be dreaming, and became lucid. I did not wake up, but retained lucidity until the end of the dream. Because I did not then know the full potential of lucid dreaming, my reaction was to tell everyone that they were in a dream.

Any tips of where to go next? I've started on those "reality checks" in hopes of starting to train myself to become dream-lucid.

Welcome to dreamviews. Check out the tutorials that Jdeadevil pointed you towards. You can also read through some people's Dream Journals to get good inspiration.

If you already keep a journal, you are on the right track. This is essential to keeping the ability to remember your dreams. Next, I would start incorporating some simple techniques like Reality Checking (RC), and Wake-Back-To-Bed (WBTB).

Everyone here loves to spread the knowledge, so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding people to help you.
