      Talking Hello everyone

This is a great site! I can't believe how nice most of you guys are.

I can't wait to have my first lucid dream. Are they really as good as everyone makes them out to be? I mean, are they like real life virtual reality, or just "super dreams?"

Thanks in advance for any replies

      Hey Epic, welcome to DV.

And yes they are! Infact, I like that term, "Super Dreams", well done!

Hope you have an ace time here!

      Welcome!

Lucid dreams are as good as everyone says.

It can take a while to have your first. Some people take a week, some a month, some a few years, and others have their first lucid on the very night after visiting this forum.

Work hard on dream recall, make a journal and start reading up on and trying different techniques. Read about WILD, MILD, DILD and just cram your head full of dream knowledge.

You could also try reading about other peoples lucid experiences and what caused them to become lucid.

Start doing reality checks throughout your normal day-to-day life. Check you hands every now and again. Check if you can breath through your nose when you hold it closed with your fingers. If something weird happens or if something makes your head turn and go "huh..?" then stop and think about it. Question things and you will find that you will be lucid in the near future =]

      Again, Welcome.

Hey there, Epic! Looks like I don't have much else to say other than... Welcome to DV!

Check out the tutorials section for lucid dreaming induction techniques, and don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions!

      Welcome, Epic!

If you keep that excitement, you will be having lucid dreams in no time.

And, yes. A good lucid dream is better than anything you can possibly imagine. Well, technically it is anything you can possibly imagine.
