      I can't recall my dreams

I have started dream jornalling by monday. The first night I could recall about 10 seconds of a dream. The next days, after I wake up, I can't remember anything from my dreams. It's just like I don't have them. Ok I know i have them but why can't I remember anything? Any suggestions?

Sorry my bad english, not my native language.

How are you waking up? I tend to have moderate to great recall, unless I'm woken up abruptly, in which case I can't clearly remember much, if at all.
Sometimes what helps though, is if I not try to force my memory and just go about my day, and something might spark my memory.

I also find that if I go to sleep thinking about things that I have to do the next day or worrying about something, my dream recall will be fuzzier.

Just curious, what is your native language? Your English is not bad.

Try not to move when you wake up. If you lay still, with your eyes closed your last dream should come back to you. Hope this helps

Telling yourself that you will remember your dreams before you go to bed helps more than you'd think. I've also noticed that it can depend on how much total sleep you get prior to waking up - i.e. whether you wake up from REM stage or some other sleep stage. Try varying your alarm clock up or back by 20 minutes or so and see if that helps.

My alarm clock is set to 5:30 AM, monday-friday. So yes, i wake up abruptly everyday.

I'm brazilian, so I speak portuguese.

So should I without getting up stop the alarm and lay back in the bed?

      Thanks for the welcome.

Oh you have an alarm If you can reach it try to shut it off without moving too much. If you have to get up you might loose some of your dreams, but if you lay back down some should come back.
